Yellow Sapphire - 6.81 Carats

Here is an oval-shaped yellow sapphire from Thailand. It weighs 6.81 carats, or 7.52 ratti. The Kanakapushyaragam stone is usually bought in ratti, and this piece is 7.52 ratti.

This stone is glass filled (small cracks filled with glass). Clean it gently with a soft cloth. The stone shows a yellow colour. It has a faceted cut. With a size of 11.29 x 9.87 x 6.36 mm, it weighs 1.36 grams.

It is a corundum stone, the same mineral as ruby. The stone is sold with an ISO Lab Certificate. Quality grade: Limited. Keep it away from hard knocks, and clean it with a soft cloth.
