1. Do not offer Basil leaves

2. Do not place the lamp to the left

To worship Goddess Lakshmi, the lamp’s wick should be red in color. Keep the lamp on the right side. The lamp should not be placed on the left side. The reason for this is that Lord Vishnu is the form of fire and light.
