Jade Nephrite

Nephrite is one of the two mineral species of Jade. Nephrite is harder than Jadeite (the other mineral species of Jade). It is found mostly in the shades of greys and green, but sometimes can be found in a wide range of colours as well.

Nephrite is mainly used in intricate carvings, beads and cabochon cut gemstones. It has a great history and importance in the Chinese culture. It is one of the oldest gemstones in the crystal history.
