5. To increase the purity of Saturn’s Sade Sati, a 5-1/4 Ratti blue sapphire should be embedded in silver or Panch Dhatu (gold, silver, copper, iron and zinc) and worn on Saturday. The gemstone should touch the lower part of the finger. Alternatively, you can also wear an iron ring made from a horse shoe or boat nail. Wear the ring on the middle finger of the hand. 

Wear the ring on a Saturday evening in the Shukla Paksha, half an hour before sunset. Pushya, Anuradha or Uttara Bhadrapad Nakshatra is very auspicious. One should also fast on that day on Saturday. After wearing the ring, it should be washed in pure milk and Ganga water and Saturn should be worshipped by burning incense etc. and the following mantra should be chanted one rosary or 108 times.
